The seniors travelled to Carnew for the quarter final of the Wicklow Cup and advanced to the semi’s for a second year in a row after a hard earned 2-1 victory. Nay Watters hit the net in the first half but Carnew equalised with 20 minutes to go after the Glens just could not take their chances. It looked like extra time was on the cards before Stephen Kirwan rose highest at the back post to head home with three minutes left and the glens held out. This was a fantastic effort by all the players but a special mention to Cian McGoldrick who had to step into goals yesterday and done very well.

The under-15s drew 1-1 with Ashford Rovers in their Premier Division Plate Group B clash, Bradley Cullen with the goal. The Glens started poorly in the first half and just couldn’t get going and went in at half time level 0-0. The second half, saw a different Glens team who were much better and took the lead through Bradley Cullen and then missed numerous chances before they paid the price and Ashford equalised with the very last kick of the game and both had a point to start the plate off.

The 14s were beaten 4-2 away to Arklow United. Kieron Griffith and Ryan Clarke got the goals with Mickey Doyle having a great game for the Glens.

The under-12s lost 5-0 away to St Anthony’s but played a lot better than the score line suggests and Alan Condon was delighted with their efforts.

The under-10s also played St Anthony’s and shared a 6-6 thriller. The Glens goals were shared by Ben Merrigan, Darragh Murray and Killian Kearns and the standout players were Darragh Murray and Luke Dunne. The under-eights were also away to St Anthony’s where there were lots of goals with Eoin Devlin and Ethan Rooney scoring a few for the Glens.
