The club AGM is on this Friday evening (November 1) in the hall at 8pm. All welcome. There was no lotto jackpot winner last weekend from 14, 15, 21, and 23. Match three winners were: Sean, Aoife, Ryan, Cian, Hannah c/o Nancy and Craig Farrar.

Horses (€10) are now on sale for the club race night in Paddy’s on November 23. Please support our main fundraiser of the year.

AUGHRIM

Our annual Race Nite fundraiser takes place next Saturday night in Paddy’s Bar at 9 p.m. Please come along and support this fundraiser and social night for the club.

Our A.G.M is fixed for Friday 29th at 8 p.m. in the Sports complex and all members, ex members and new members are welcome to attend.

After a very successful year at juvenile level, a presentati­on evening to hand out the many trophies and awards to the various teams at all age groups has been arranged for Saturday 16th. In the sports complex at 4pm.

HOLLYWOOD

Hollywood GAA Club lotto draw will be held this coming Wednesday, October 30, in Tutty’s for a jackpot of €12,200. Tickets can be bought online at hollywoodg­aa. com and from the usual local outlets. Thanks for your continued support and good luck.

Thursday night juvenile training is finished for this year. Well done to all the children who came training and participat­ed in the blitzes during the year, it was great to see everyone having fun with friends playing football. Enjoy the break and see you all again in March.

BLESSINGTO­N

Juniors – The JAFC replay will be held in Aughrim on Sunday at 2pm. Please come and support the lads and management. Our under-9 team will play during the break and cheer the lads onto the pitch at the start of the match.

U20s – Blessingto­n in Group 2 with Éire Óg Greystones and Naomh Eoin (Avoca GAA and Barndarrig GAA). Unfortunat­ely, Naomh Eoin conceded the match. November 10 away v Éire Óg Greystones at 11.30am.

Lotto – No winner of €6,200 jackpot. Numbers drawn: 2, 14, 20, and 22. Five match three numbers for €60 each: Chris Blanchfiel­d, Kathleen Nolan, Michael Keogh, John Coogan, Tom Fisher. Date for your diary – Club fundraiser. Friday, November 15. Tickets €10 which enters you into both draws and entry to Newbridge Stadium.

Two buster draws with first prize of €750, second prize €400, third prize €300, fifth prize €200 and five prizes of €100. You can nominate a dog for €50 and this entitles you to free entry and €100 if dog wins. It was a terrific night last year.

Paddy Magee and Pete Nolan Man of the match will be held on Saturday, November 16, v Ballymore in Blessingto­n GAA at 2pm.

Bingo – Next Bingo on Wednesday, October 30, at 8.15pm sharp in The Avon. This is a special Halloween Bingo. Treats and surprises on the night. Cost €10 includes jackpot and flyer sheets. Half books available for children €2 each. Jackpot now €1,100 in 45 calls! Please spread the word and bring a friend.

Physio – Physio is now finished for the season. Any issues adults call Pat Molloy and Juvenile through Barry Cotter.

Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others – G4M team is looking for new members. If you fancy trying something new and meeting some new people, please come along and try it out on Tues evenings at 7pm.

U13s – Rising Stars. Football Winter Program. This program began in four venues on October 18 from 7.30 – 8.30pm. The venue for Blessingto­n will be Baltinglas­s GAA. Further dates October 25, November 1, 8, 16 and 22. A game against Louth will take place on one of the dates. The program will be run by Wicklow coaching and games GDAs with the assistance of club coaches and is open to any player born in 2006.

Academy – The Academy held its last session on Saturday, October 26. A great time as ever was had by all.

There was a tug-o-war between the children and the parents, medal presentati­on and even a visit from the ice cream van! See you all in March 2020. Thanks to the coaches, parents and kids who attended every week.

Hurling - Well done to Michael Dwyers in the League Play-off on Tuesday last in Ballinakil­l. Michael Dwyers 3-15, Carnew 0- 4.

Well done to our club lads on the panel. Conor Richardson, Brian Richardson, Austin Brennan, Sam Gough, Adam Williamson, Finn Behan and Alex Kendrick. Also, to coaches Pat Brennan and David Richardson.

Healthy Club Project (HCP) is looking for people to come on board to help set up Blessingto­n GAA as a healthy club for 2020 and beyond. Lisa Jackson and Michelle Richardson is on board currently and would like others from the club to join the team. It is not committee based. We hope to launch in January 2020 so all help would be appreciate­d. Can anyone who is interested or have any ideas please contact Lisa on 086 376 7534.

Rounders - Blessingto­n GAA are looking at the possibilit­y of starting Rounders teams for juvenile ages (boys & girls). It’s an official GAA sport and even has own Féile. If any parent is interested in training and attending coaching, please contact Kevin Gilmore on 087 2324197.

Clothing Collection ongoing - collecting good quality second-hand clothing suitable for re-use. Please fill as many black bin bags as you can – the more we collect, the more our club receives. VALLEYMOUN­T

Our lotto draw was held last weekend and there was no winner of the jackpot. The numbers were 2, 6, 14 and 27. The three €25 winners were Joe Carroll, Shay Kavanagh and Mag and Levi Browne. Well done to our U20 team who recovered brilliantl­y after a shaky start to overcome Rathnew by 3-12 to 4-1 in the first round defence of their title. Next up St. Nicks in two weeks’ time. Well done to the lads and the management team on a workman like performanc­e.

LACKEN-KILBRIDE

The men’s team were relegated to Junior ‘B’ for 2020 - with two losses against, Éire Óg and Hollywood - for some reason both matches played in Greystones and Hollywood. Someone thought it a good idea to concede neutral venue.

Scores were: Relegation semi-final: Éire Óg 1-14, Lacken-Kilbride 1-7; Relegation final: Hollywood 4-20, Lacken-Kilbride 0-6 – which signed off a dismal season. Latest lotto results:

Hard luck to the under-20 team who lost to group team Shamrocks in Baltinglas­s on Sunday morning.

Some of the minors brought in the Minor cup on Friday to St. Coen’s school for all the kids to have a look and had a great time.

The club sends its condolence­s to the family of Joan O’Sullivan who sadly passed away last week and also to the McDonald family on the sudden loss of former player Kevin.

An absolute gentleman, Kevin won two championsh­ips in the 70s for the club and will be missed by all in the village. My they both rest in peace.
