Lip Sync Legends line up for Kilmac GAA Club

- By MARY FOGARTY

THERE was a great atmosphere in Pluck’s of Kilmacanogue as Kilmacanogue GAA Club launched its Lipsync Legends fundraiser.

The Lipsync Legends and their acts were revealed on the night and, if the launch was anything to go by, the actual event itself promises to be a night to remember with acts like the The Village People, Britney

Spears, Mel & Kim, Michael Jackson, Garth Brooks and many more in attendance.

The club is very grateful to all the ‘ legends’ that have given up their time to participate and also to all the generous sponsorship from the community.

The club opened its new clubhouse in 2018, providing a social outlet for young and old, providing a wide range of activities and as a party and meeting venue for the community.

The Lipsync Legends event is taking place to raise funds for much needed new flood lights for the pitch. With so many teams now in the club, some teams are training later at night. The new lights would also mean the club can play home matches on the darker evenings, which they currently have to forfeit to the opposition.

The main event will take place in The Parkview Hotel, Newtownmountkennedy this coming Saturday, November 9.

Tickets are €25 and are available from Plucks, Jackie Fox (086 8494655), and Melanie Lee (086 4086597). Tickets are also on sale every Friday night in the clubhouse from 7-10 p.m.

Anyone who wishes to advertise in the programme can also contact Jackie or Melanie.
