TIDY TOWNS
It was a fantastic result to improve our score by nine points, up to 293, in the 2019 Tidy Towns competition. The adjudicator had the following to say: ‘My visit to Laragh and Glendalough was a pleasure as it always is. Keep up the great work you are carrying out for your local community enhancing the lives of all who live there as well as the many visitors.’
Again, many thanks to all who helped in picking up litter and kept the area looking so well this year. We also received €250 at the Pure Mile awards, held in the Brooklodge Hotel on October 16, for keeping the Laragh to Ballard mile litter-free.
