There was no winner of the lotto jackpot last week. The numbers drawn were 13, 17, 20 and 27. There was one matchthree winner, Angelia Ford. Next week’s jackpot will be €16,600.

VARIETY NIGHT

A Laragh Variety night will take place next Saturday, November 16, starting at 8.30 p.m. A variety of acts including, recital and comedy, storytelli­ng and music and drama. Promises to be a night of great entertainm­ent with a raffle on the night. €10 admission and all proceeds go to the senior citizens Christmas party. So come along and support a great cause and enjoy the entertaini­ng night.

GOLDEN JUBILEE

To mark the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the Church of the Sacred Heart Moneystown, Archbishop Dr Diarmuid Martin, DD will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgivi­ng there on Sunday, November 24, at 11.30 a.m. Mass in St Laurence O’Toole Church

Roundwood will take place at the earlier time of 10 a.m. on that day.

FOLK GROUP

Roundwood Folk Group are on the look-out for a guitarist/ musician to help them in the New Year with Saturday night Mass. Very flexible not every Saturday and not a big commitment but very enjoyable. Please contact Helena at 086 3000194 if you would like to do it.

BADMINTON

Badminton continues on a Tuesday morning from 9.30 a.m.

SECONDARY SCHOOL BADMINTON

A six-week course begins next Monday, November 11, at 6.30 in the GAA Center. All are welcome Rackets are available. Come and enjoy a fun night. Bring a friend.

PARISH SALE OF WORK

Roundwood and Moneystown Christmas Sale of work will take place in the GAA complex on Sunday, December 1, from 12 4 p.m. A great day out for all the family with something for everyone. All good quality donations for the various stalls can be left with Maureen in the parish office between 9 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. (Mon-Thurs) before November 28 In particular we are looking for bottles for the bottle stall and home produce for the cake stall. Come along on the day to visit SANTA and pick up some fantastic festive Christmas gifts.

LUNCH CLUB

ROUNDWOOD DANCE

There will be a dance in Roundwood Parish Centre on Friday, November 15, with music by John Flood. All are welcome.

SUNSHINE FITNESS

WALKING GROUP

Roundwood Whizzers Walking Group are back in action meeting at 7 p.m. this Wednesday at the Coach House car park. All welcome to walk at your own pace for approximat­ely one hour.

FUND RAISER WALK

A fundraiser walk will take place on Saturday, November 23. It is an event on Facebook Wicklow Wells page. This is a relaxed guided walk in the hills with views of Glendaloug­h to an ancient well called Fraughan’s Well (The Blessed Well) in Troopersto­wn. The walk will include some informatio­n on the traditions and rituals both prechristi­an and christian. of Co.Wicklow’s Holy Wells (approximat­ely 120)

Meeting point Troppersto­wn car park near Laragh 10.45 a.m. Walk is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with anyone who has time welcome to Glendaloug­h Green Laragh for tea or coffee afterwards.

Cost: Donations for info plaques and marker stones for two wells in west Wicklow. Suggested donations:€5 to €15 to any amount you want to donate. 100% of the funds raised go towards materials to mark and promote public access to these special places. O’Brien played their cards right on Monday, November 4, to take first place for North/South, second Kay Plunkett and Claire O’Connor and third Catherine McGillycud­dy and Gertie Fee. First place for East/West went to aria Magee and Judy Skates, second Phil Power and Catherine Halligan and Teresa Leahy and Marian Davis were third.

002 BRIDGE CLUB

Margaret Bolger took first place once again this week with regular partner Noeleen Redmond, second John Loscher and Beatrice O’Callaghan and third Gertie Fee and Kay Plunkett. Ger Lenihan and Paddy O’Brien were first place winners for East/West, second Catherine McGillycud­dy and Nancy O’Brien and third Liz Belton and Phil Kenna.

SET DANCING

Our weekly set dancing sessions continue in Kavanagh’s Lounge on Thursday nights. All are always welcome – whether you have ever or never danced before Session starts at 8.30 till 10.30 and cost is still only €5 for a goodnight of exercise.

ROUNDWOOD CANCER SUPPORT

The Roundwood Cancer Support centre is now up and running and is open in the Parish Centre on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. and they are currently looking for volunteers if you could spare some time in your week it would be greatly appreciate­d.
