Your community is here for you.In ever changing times and uncertainty we need everyone to play their part and stay home. With this in mind if you are in need of any Covid unemployment forms, illness benefit forms, self Employed unemployment forms, Welfare Allowance Supplement forms they are available locally in the up most confidence from Ciara at Newtownmountkennedy District Forum at 087 6380155 or email ciaraperks87@gmail.com. ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

The committee of Newtownmountkennedy St Patrick’s Day Parade would like to thank the businesses of the village for the wonderful window displays that have helped brighten up our town in these new times. Everyone is a winner this year and we thank you again for being the force behind such creative and eye catching windows in our community.

In light of this the committee have decided to donate this year’s prize to a force of good in our community, choosing ‘sambos for ambos’ as the recipient. They will distribute sandwiches and drinks to frontline staff in our fight against Covid-19, from test centre teams in Wicklow to ambulance crews in your name.

Again we thank you and next year we will be back bigger and better.

NEWTOWN AND NEWCASTLE MEN’S SHED

Unfortunately the very cornerstone of one of the most thriving associations to bring a meaning to those who have walked through loneliness, depression, unemployment, etc are threatened again to experience the same by Covid 19. Thus, our wee shed at Killadreenan has not escaped the restrictions needed to fight this invisible enemy and we have closed our doors, hopefully not for long. That will depend on each and everyone of us to follow the instructions given over the proper channels put in place by the medical experts who know exactly what’s required to bring us all through this madness, So please follow their advice on hygiene and social distancing.

A big thank you to all in the frontline fight against this enemy, and to all those helping within our community.

Be safe, be well.
