Portraitsof grandparents

Mermaid Arts Centre is inviting young people to submit portraits of their grandparents, along with a poem.

Young people who live in Wicklow and are aged between two and 18 can submit to the project.

There will be an online gallery exhibition on mermaidartscentre.ie so that grandparents can log on and admire the work.

In the autumn, Mermaid will submit as much of the work as possible in the gallery at the arts centre.

All books are in pristine condition and competitively priced.

They also have a selection of jigsaws and DVDs.

Organisers will then send a message to let the buyer know when to collect their books and the mount owing.

They can then call to the Shankill Day Care Centre, Lower Road, Shankill D18 HW95, and pick them up between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Wednesdays or Fridays.

They are not in a position to accept new books or take back any returns while the Covid-19 crisis is ongoing. and requests. Players do not need to have played before.

They will get the opportunity to exercise in a fun way while meeting others in the local community.

Participants must be 25 and older and not currently playing competitively with a club team.

Sessions take place on Wednesdays from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. but are currently on hold.
