ARE you nervous about sending your children back to school? Is your child expressing fears too? I know some of you are. There is the obvious one, the fear of contracting the virus. There are concerns too about how they will get on with the changes to public transport, seating arrangements in the classroom, new rules in the playground. So many things to adjust to.

It is understandable, these fears. If you’re looking for something in the natural world to help calm them you could try the flower remedies. These are my favourite remedies to help people cope. They’re suitable for children and adults to take.

Aspen is the flower remedy to help with anxiety, vague fears, and apprehension. It should be chosen when there is a sense of dread or foreboding that you cannot shake. You might be constantly thinking that something bad is going to happen. Pain and discomfort in the stomach is common too.

When you take Aspen it helps to provide reassurance that there is nothing to be scared of. It gives you a feeling of confidence to face things. Even though the situation remains the same it’s how you will cope with it that has changed.

If the fear/anxiety is so intense that it feels like a panic attack with symptoms of trembling and sweating choose Rock Rose or Rescue Remedy.

Mimulus is the one to choose to ease fear surrounding attending school for the first time, or moving into a new class, into this new situation. It’s for any fear that you can name. The difference between Aspen and Mimulus is that you know what you’re afraid of when you choose Mimulus, and Aspen is used more for general apprehension.

Red Chestnut is a lovely one to choose to help when you are fearful for the wellbeing of your loved ones as they head out to school. Fearful that something will happen to them at school or on their way there.

Flower remedies are easy to take. You can simply add them to water and sip, or take them directly on your tongue. If you’re feeling anxious, nervous, or worried, why not call into us to find out more about these amazing flower essences.
