Maison Moli had adjusted their business

-

KEIRA Robinson of Maison Moli said that while it’s disappointing that they have had to close the small seating area they were able to provide, it’s necessary.

‘ The way we’re looking at it is, you can’t control it. There’s no point in getting upset or stressing about it. We will come back better than ever in December.’

She said that there is a sense of it being better to go into lockdown and get it over with it, rather than adjusting the business every couple of weeks.

‘At least we have a final answer and know where we are,’ said Keira.

A number of restaurants, bars and cafés in Bray created comfortable outdoor spaces for 15 customers at a time as the country went into Level 3 restrictions.

They included Maison Moli, and The Harbour Bar. While Level 3 was supposed to be in place until late October, both areas and others will now be vacant for the coming weeks, as the nation goes into Level 5 and hospitality venues can do takeaway and deliver only.

With a turn around of a couple of days, Maison Moli installed screens and heaters on the balcony at Bray Golf Club and began taking bookings.

The spectacular views were already in place. Maison Moli has a restaurant and café on Florence Road, and has recently started doing the food at Bray Golf Club.

They adapted quickly to the limitations of having just 15 customers at a time outdoors.

The Harbour bar brought its unique style outdoors and created a new seating area in the beer garden, with the customary HB razzle dazzle. They, too were taking bookings for just 15 patrons at a time.

Availability to the facilities was short- lived, as they have closed their doors for now.

The Level 5 restrictions are due to last until December 1 although there are fears that this may be extended for some businesses if the situation doesn’t improve.
