Three wins for local businesses

2020 has undoubtedl­y being a challengin­g year for both businesses and communitie­s across Wicklow, and Network Ireland Wicklow have had their own obstacles to overcome.

All monthly meetings had to be moved online and their highly-anticipate­d awards ceremony was also moved to an online platform at the eleventh hour due to Covid-19 restrictio­ns.

Dawn Leane, President of Network Ireland Wicklow branch said: ‘It’s all being worth it. I will certainly never forget this year, but as President, my main focus was to ensure that we were here to support our members, the businesswo­man of Wicklow in every way possible so that we could all move forward together.’

The national Network Ireland awards took place earlier this month, online, from The Powerscour­t Hotel. Network Ireland Wicklow members achieved highly commended awards, such as Deborah Sudding of The Ultrasound Suite in the Business Innovation Category, Deborah

Brock of Nua Fertility in the Emerging New Business Category and Sinead McKeever of Little Lingua Languages in the Online Business Transforma­tion category.

Ms Leane added: ‘We are so proud of these ladies and what they have achieved this year with their businesses. I would also like to take the opportunit­y to congratula­te our National Network Ireland President and fellow Wicklow member, Louisa Meehan for putting on a fantastic awards event and #PowerWithi­n celebratio­n.’
