THANK YOU

As we pack away the Christmas decorations for another year, the Knockananna community owe a huge debt to Santa’s little and big helpers who did great work in brightening this dark Christmas.

First, to Milo and Eugene Canna, Patsy Tracey and team who once again brightened the crossroads with a wonderful display of lights and the crib which took centre stage. Thanks to the Hughes, who donated the Christmas trees. Of course the lights are no use without power, and once again Peter Foley carried on the tradition started by his late uncle, Fr Brendan Foley and provided the power to run the lights.

And this year, we saw the lights expand further down the village. Thanks to Anthony Tracey, who led the brigade and with great volunteers, cut back trees and added more festive displays. We appreciate the help and support of Naomh Brid NS who made it all possible.

Despite the disappointments of 2019, these little lights did brighten our lives and the knowledge that we still have wonderful, positive volunteers who give their time and efforts for their community will continue to brighten the dark days ahead.
