MARK Murray hit a hat-trick of goals as St Colmcille’s captured the U-16 FL Division 2 title at Pairc Tailteann.

The Cille’s were comfortable winners in the end, but for a long time there was little to choose between the teams. Walterstown led 1-4 to 1-2 in the early stages before the seasiders responded to be 2-6 to 1-6 ahead at the break.

The Blacks hit the opening three points of the second half to level, but with Con Gordon and Lorcan Hughes dominant in midfield St Colmcille’s drove on to record a fully deserved but hard-earned victory.
