Baz book tour a ‘dream come true’
DROGHEDA tatoo artist turned author, Baz Black, has just completed an Ireland and Britain tour for his first book, ‘Ink Princess’ which has already attracted interest from not one, but two, movie scriptwriters.
In addition, fans of the book are already asking him when he’s going to write the sequel!
Ink Princess focuses Megan Banks, one of the most famous tattoo artists in the world. She is the star of hit TV show Rebel Ink, but her path to get here has been anything but easy.
Tonight she will finally tell her story. Live on the Michael Corbett Show, the world will hear of her journey that takes her from living rough on the streets to getting the opportunity of a lifetime. Amongst the millions tuned in, there is one particular person watching…. they are always watching.
The book is uniquely set in the world of the tattoo industry and gives a great insight from the artists point of view. The story itself is both intriguing and humorous, as well as educational.
Ink Princess was launched in Dundalk at the end of June and Baz headed around tattoo conventions in Ireland and Britain including Ignition Piercing (Lisburn), Loud Ink (Drogheda), Titanic Tattoo Convention (Belfast), Tattoo Jam (Doncaster), Urban Lives (London) and Dublin Tattoo Convention (Dublin)
The Galway tattoo convention will be next in September and then it’s over to Canada for a tour.
Baz told the Drogheda Independent: ‘ The book has been really well received and the reviews have been amazing. Sales were brilliant from the tour and are still flying from Amazon. The Kindle version was released two weeks ago and that is going great. I am ramping up a lot of sales from America, so hopefully it will get to a stage that I can get over there to promote it.
‘ There are currently two movie script writers considering taking it on which is amazing. Loads have asked about a sequel to the book so hopefully when I have the time I will start working on one.
