ZOMBIES ARE COMING TO DROGHEDA FOR A SPOOKY TOUR OF THE TOWN!

-

BLOOD curdling screams, zombies with serious make up issues, ghosts, goblins, Drogheda will be quite a place on Friday October 28th.

The town hosts its first Zombie Walk that night, all in aid of Focus Ireland, as part of a major homelessness fundraising campaign.

The basis for the walk is pretty simple. If you take a sponsorship card and get it filled in, you gain free entry into the march (plus the after walk treats), but you can also pay €10 and go along on the night.

It promises to be a great night and chief organiser, Declan Kierans, wants it to a ‘spooktacular’ success!

‘I have thought about organising something like this for a while, so it has come around now.’

The route for the walk will be announced at a later date but it will include visiting parts of Drogheda’s historic and gruesome past. All participants can avail of a free full evenings entertainment including music fun and BBQ courtesy of Mc Phails Bar & Venue also free admission to Fusion Venue.

Special make up effects will be available from Twisted Make Up and Avante Garde and Ciaran Dunleavy for those who want to avail of their expertise.

It is planned to have the walk at 7.30pm and it will last about an hour.

‘ We are looking for volunteers and helpers and people to shake buckets so we can help as much as we can,’ he added.

Sponsorship cards will be available from The Pain Factory , 5 Laurence Street, Drogheda or contact Declan at 0876966257 for more details.

The event is subject to licence by Louth County Council.
