world’s best archers, Michelle made the club proud by coming well up the field in her category in her first foreign tournament and she achieved the highest place from the Irish squad.

The team in France with Michelle and John were Deirdre, Eamonn and Christina - all mentioned above - along with Fiachra Judge and Adria Quinn.

Meanwhile, back in Ireland, Adam Bradley (8), along with his dad Niall, went to Newry for their first-ever competitio­n.

Niall shot extremely well, battling first-time nerves to compete in the gents compound category which is always the most contested. Adam did everyone proud by returning home with a silver medal.

Brandon Dollard also returned with a very impressive gold and Ann Marie Murray received bronze in her first compound competitio­n after being out of training for four months with injury. DALYS of Donore boosted their prospects of qualifying for the knockout stages in the Fosters Duleek & District Dart League when they leapfrogge­d Mariner following Friday’s round of games.
