CORMAC’S 600KM WALK

Cormac McNamara began his mammoth 600+km fundraiser - “The Walk to School” last week. Cormac’s “walk” will take him through counties Meath, Westmeath, Longford, Roscommon, Mayo, Galway, Clare and in County Limerick he will be half-way through his trip! The return journey will see Cormac walk through counties Tipperary, Offaly, Kildare and finishing in County Meath on approximately Thursday 1st June!

Cormac will be visiting his father’s old primary school in Mayo and his primary school in Limerick.

Monies donated will be shared between Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, Milford Hospice (Limerick) and Cormac’s local school St Finian’s NS, Clonalvy. The main aim of Cormac’s journey, however, is to create an awareness of Cystic Fibrosis, Hospice care and the plight of small rural schools who depend hugely on the generosity of local community support to help keep their schools financed.
