Parnells crush neighbours
STABANNON PARNELLS 4-15 JOHN MITCHELS 0-4 STABANNON Parnells maintained their challenge for a play-off place as they crushed neighbours, John Mitchels, to move to eight points in the table. David Cluskey made it a memorable week on a personal level as added a hat-trick to the four goals he scored against Dowdallshill in mid-week.
The Mitchels went into the game on the back of a vital victory over Nh Malachi but they were unable to repeat that performance as Parnells dominated from the outset.
Cluskey scored his first goal in the opening half as his side went in at the break with a commanding 1-8 to 0-3 lead. It got even better in the second half as he went on to complete the hat-trick while Aonghus Giggins added the other and Daniel Bannon added eight points.
