CEMETERY SUNDAY.

The Blessing of the Graves will take place on Sunday 20th August in The Mullagh and St. Dennis’s.

BLESSING OF FISHING FLEET.

The Annual Blessing of our Fishing Fleet will be taking place on Sunday 23rd July at 3 p.m. in the Harbour. This is always a great day in Clogherhea­d with the boats all dressed up in bunting and flags vying for “Best Dressed Boat” and there will also be various competitio­ns on the day at the Pier. Hope to see you all there.

DREADNOTS NEWS.

Bingo continues every Monday night in the a.m. - Community Hall, Clogherhea­d starting at 8.30.p.m.

EVENTS PLANNED FOR THE LIFEBOAT STATION.

22nd July. Bag Packing in Tesco’s, Donore. 6/7th August Church Gate Collection. 11th August. Annual Car Wash at Station 19th August. Annual Golf Classic in Seapoint 1st September. Flag Day, Colpe Cross, Drogheda. 8th September Flag Day Scotch Hall. Help is needed on above dates and also in the Lifeboat Shop during the week in June, July and August. CLOGHERHEA­D WATER SAFETY WEEK.

The Louth Irish Water Safety Week will take place at the Beach in Clogherhea­d from Monday 10th July to Friday 15th July. Registrati­on takes place Sunday 9th July from 12 noon to 3 pm at the Clogherhea­d Beach Car Park. Classes include, Water Safety, Rescues, Survival and CPR for all ages. 1) Are you over 21 and in receipt of a Social Welfare Payment? Would you like to train as an Early Year’s Educator, receive a minimum payment of €210.50 attending 19.5 hrs per week.
