NIGHT AT THE MOVIES EVENT FOR INSE BAY
THE newly formed Inse Bay Residents Network in Laytown are up and running and hosted their first major event - an open air movie night - in the estate green recently.
They were formed earlier this year with a number of residents with the sole purpose “To enhance and promote a positive community spirit”
From donations and grants they were able to organise a free outdoor movie night.
The Committee is made up of five core members, Ciaran Crone (Chairman), Eugene Wasylkiw (Secretary), Charmaine Wasylkiw (Treasurer), Linda Burke and Andrew Lennon.
All residents are automatically members of the Network; information is provided through door drops and Online though the Facebook Page. Membership is free for all residents of Inse Bay and financial costs are organised through donations and availing of council grants.
550 houses make up Inse Bay, with more than 2,000 living there.
They also hosted a community Quiz night in April and implemented the Duleek and District Community Text Alert Scheme .
They were delighted with the movie night, Ciaran Crone adding, “It was about giving something back to the community, bringing people who live and work in Inse Bay together for an amazing shared experience’.
“We are extremely proud to be in a position where within our first year we were able to provide such and amazing event to the Inse bay Community”, Eugene Wasylkiw stated.
Linda Burke thanked the committee, supported by local volunteers, councillors and of course local pub The Cottage Inn.
