Make your wedding day about you…

A WEDDING day is about you and yours. It’s as simple as that, really. If you feel like you want to avoid doing what everyone else is doing regarding the latest wedding ideas and plans, you’re already being you. Being you might sound easy, but in a world dominated by trends and mimicking, the option to be yourself has never been more appealing which is why planning a wedding is an opportunity to be faithful to your own personality, interests and personal hobbies.

Think about it for a second: 99.9% of your guests will be there on the day because they know you personally. They know your likes, dislikes, infatuations and fascinations. So why disappoint in trying to be different? Why not design wedding themes around the hobbies and personal passions they associate you with? It’s fun, it’s original, but most of all…it’ll be you. Guests will love this as it just screams who ‘you’ really are and nothing in today’s word is more appealing than originality.

Adding humorous wedding themes along the lines of personal interest will come easier to you than having to wade through the latest trends. Do you like cars? Then why not hire a few vintage ones to adorn the entrance to the hotel. Do you like farming? Then why not make little tractor table decorations? Do you like soccer? Then why not name guest tables after premiership teams (the same applies to a whole load of other sports).
