Storytelling day at Frank’s Country Cottage in Donore
AN afternoon of storytelling takes place at the Boyne Valley Cottage, Donore, on Sunday 19 November from 3-5pm, and will continue every third Sunday of the month over the winter.
Storytellers of all ages are welcome to share stories and perhaps a few songs, with participation at the heart of it. There is no pressure to perform – just turn up and listen! ‘Storytelling is an age-old tradition which has existed since the dawn of time wherever people gather,’ said Cllr Frank Godfrey.
Local storytellers include Dick Murphy, Maureen Moore, Bridie Maxwell and music by Pat Gogan and friends.
Barbican Christmas fair
THE Barbican Centre Christmas Fair will take place on Sunday, November 26th from 11am to 4pm with everything on display from arts, crafts, jewellry, food, raffles, prizes and lots more. Entrance to the public is free.

Floral art night
DROGHEDA & District Floral Art Group will host its Gala Night “Christmas My Way” - A demonstration by Christopher White, in the Westcourt Hotel, Drogheda on Tuesday 14th November at 7.45pm. Proceeds in aid of NECRET based at the Oncology Unit, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Admission €15. Raffle on Entry Ticket.
Cook with the Mary’s!
ST Mary’s DS in association with the parents council are hosting ‘Come Cook with Us’ with chef Joe Shannon and comedian Frank Forde. It’s on Thursday November 16 at 7.30pm in the City North. Guest chefs include Sharon Keogan, Joe Rooney, Mary Simpson, Fr Joe Campbell. Tickets are 20 euro from the school.
