Sto­ry­telling day at Frank’s Coun­try Cot­tage in Donore

AN af­ter­noon of sto­ry­telling takes place at the Boyne Val­ley Cot­tage, Donore, on Sun­day 19 Novem­ber from 3-5pm, and will con­tinue ev­ery third Sun­day of the month over the win­ter.

Sto­ry­tellers of all ages are wel­come to share sto­ries and per­haps a few songs, with par­tic­i­pa­tion at the heart of it. There is no pres­sure to per­form – just turn up and lis­ten! ‘Sto­ry­telling is an age-old tra­di­tion which has ex­isted since the dawn of time wher­ever peo­ple gather,’ said Cllr Frank God­frey.

Lo­cal sto­ry­tellers in­clude Dick Mur­phy, Mau­reen Moore, Bri­die Maxwell and mu­sic by Pat Go­gan and friends.

Bar­bican Christ­mas fair

THE Bar­bican Cen­tre Christ­mas Fair will take place on Sun­day, Novem­ber 26th from 11am to 4pm with ev­ery­thing on dis­play from arts, crafts, jew­ellry, food, raf­fles, prizes and lots more. En­trance to the pub­lic is free.

DROGHEDA & District Flo­ral Art Group will host its Gala Night “Christ­mas My Way” - A demon­stra­tion by Christo­pher White, in the West­court Ho­tel, Drogheda on Tues­day 14th Novem­ber at 7.45pm. Pro­ceeds in aid of NECRET based at the On­col­ogy Unit, Our Lady of Lour­des Hos­pi­tal. Ad­mis­sion €15. Raf­fle on En­try Ticket.

Cook with the Mary’s!

ST Mary’s DS in as­so­ci­a­tion with the par­ents coun­cil are host­ing ‘Come Cook with Us’ with chef Joe Shan­non and co­me­dian Frank Forde. It’s on Thurs­day Novem­ber 16 at 7.30pm in the City North. Guest chefs in­clude Sharon Keogan, Joe Rooney, Mary Simp­son, Fr Joe Camp­bell. Tick­ets are 20 euro from the school.
