JUNIOR EUROVISION FINAL
The junior eurovision has been a bit of a rollercoaster of a competition for sisters Emma, Sarah Duff and Eva McMahon (aka Mini Mix). Having been eliminated at the semi final stage their disappointment turned to joy when they found out that they have reached the final as they were chosen as the judges wildcard. In a competition where over 600 entrants from all parts of the country took part, getting down to the final 6 acts is a massive achievement for these girls. The final will be aired on TG4 on the 19th November. Go Girls.
NOEL’S WINNING STREAK
One Lobinstown native who certainly has the midas touch when it comes to winning is Noel McGillick. Since moving to Ardee (after getting married to a Louth woman) and taking over at the helm of one of the underage teams in 2013 at St. Mary’s GAA along with fellow selectors Mark Keenan and Dermot Gillespie they have amassed a total of 13 titles, 3 championships, 2 Louth feiles, 1 All Ireland feile and seven leaque titles, their latest coming last week when they clinched the u16 leaque final. Noel and Mark were also selectors this year as St Mary’s juniors won the division 2 championship. Maybe its time for Noel to look for planning permission back in the Royal county.
