Dunleer has it all this Christmas!

EVENTS kicked off in Reilly’s Pub, Ardee where Dunleer bands Full Shilling and Crying Shame were on stage with three other acts from Ardee. All proceeds in aid of Ardee Hospice.

Last Saturday 2nd December we had the Carol Service in St Brigid’s Church Dunleer where the Dunleer and Philipstow­n Choirs perform along with a visiting choir from Youghal, Co Cork.

This Friday 8th December we have the Annual Wren Boys Festival in the Teach Scoraiocht Dunleer starting at 7 pm. Main Sponsors Dunleer Credit Union; Glen Dimplex and Centra Dunleer.

On Saturday 9th we have the Christmas Fair and Santa Comes to Town in the Market House Dunleer. Also on at 9pm on Saturday 9th in Connor’s Bar Dunleer we have the Annual Keep the Home Fires Burning (Diaspora Event) Traditiona­l Irish Music Night with musicians from Scoraiocht Lannleire and the Full Shilling, along with members of the Wednesday Night Annagassan Sessuin. As many regular shoppers to Dunleer will testify, you can find almost everything you want in this bustling town, supermarke­ts, restaurant­s, pubs, hardware store, beauty salons, hair salons, etc etc. Traders in Dunleer are putting on extra special deals in the run up to Christmas and many say that with the confidence returning to the economy it will be an even busier Christmas than usual. So whether it’s Christmas or any other time of the year-head for Dunleer.
