YOUNG AT HEART CHRISTMAS DINNER.

A last reminder to all concerned regarding the annual Christmas Dinner Party for the Young at Heart in the Stamullen area and indeed beyond, will take place in Whytes of Stamullen this coming Friday night December 8th. Local woman, Kathleen Gough, has been the main organiser for this annual event for many years now and with the help of her husband Ray a magnificent Christmas Dinner and a great-craic party is always assured for the senior citizens of the parish and surrounds. Kathleen is advising those who wish to attend to please call to her at Goughs` Corner and let her know that they wish to attend if they haven’t already done so.. This is a vital and important part of the preparation for the Dinner-party, as she needs to know how many will attend the event so that the Christmas party this coming Friday night can run freely and without a hitch.

VINCENT DE PAUL.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul held their annual Church-gate collections over the weekend and plans are once again in place to instal the annual `giving-tree` in both churches in Stamullen and Julianstown. The St. Vincent de Paul carry out a tremendous amount of charitable work each year across the entire country and, particularly at this time of the year, when certainly everything is`nt `rosey` and `festive-cheer` for many many people and families, the Society continue to work with the less well-off in the communities almost around the clock in some instances. They would realy appreciate any help and support they can get in the lead-up to Christmas so all donations, no matter how small they might appear, is indeed a God-send.
