CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

The Bettystown Christmas lights will be turned on this Saturday 9th December at 6p.m. The pupils of Scoil on Spioraid Naoimh will be there at 5.45p.m. for Carol singing by the tree for a festive start to Christmas in Bettystown. Local businesses will mark this occasion with special offers and customer appreciati­on offers so please support our local shops.

EAST MEATH ACTIVE RETIREMENT

The East Meath Active Retirement group have resumed their weekly activities each Thursday afternoon in the St Mary’s Church of Ireland Parish rooms at 2.30p.m.

MEETING SANTA

Julianstow­n & District Community Associatio­n would like to wish all our residents a very Happy Christmas and speaking of Christmas we would like to invite you and your family along to The Lime Kiln to meet Santa, Mrs. Claus and all the elves at 6 pm on Tuesday 12thDecemb­er.

The Mornington Gospel Choir will be singing carols to get us all in the mood. There will be Mince Pies and Mulled Wine (Adults only) and a gift for the children. Santa will of course be arriving with Mrs. Claus by Vintage Red Tractor whiles all the Reindeer are munching on Carrots in Stella & Stephen Hoey’s Barn.

Admission is free, but a donation towards our planting for next year would be greatly appreciate­d. Many thanks to The Lime Kiln for hosting this event and supplying the light refreshmen­ts.

We would also like to thank our Councillor­s’ and Meath County Council who are funding the Christmas tree and Lights and soon all our Santa Suits will be appearing throughout the village to give a Christmas Cheer!
