Tullyallen Tractor run 2017

-

THE annual Tullyallen Tractor Run will take place on Wednesday, December 27th and promises to be bigger and better than ever this year.

All proceeds raised through this fun event will go to Our Lady of Lourdes Oncology Department and Tullyallen Carers.

Originally started by a group of local tractor enthusiasts, the annual Tullyallen tractor run takes place on the day after St Stephens Day and has rapidly become one of the biggest events of festive season in the north east area.

It attracts both locals and spectators from further afield who come to witness the huge gathering of large vehicles.

From toddlers and children with a passion for tractors and trucks to adults who come to soak up the brilliant atmosphere and get some fresh air after days of gorging on turkey and sweets, the event is a hit will all ages.

All tractors, trucks and cars are welcome to take part on the day. A huge range of vehicles take part in the run, from modern and vintage tractors to trucks, cars and jeeps.

All the participating vehicles gather in the village before taking to the roads for an enjoyable jaunt around the countryside. Registration and refreshments will be served from 12pm. There will be raffles on the day and entry is €20.

A total of €15,171 was raised through the event last year and was presented to NECRET, who support cutting edge cancer and treatment in the Oncology and Haematology Unit at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
