Ciaran Leddy is not a boxer - but he was knockout with the MMM Auditorium Players

AFTER a somewhat slow start on Thursday night, the Medical Missionaries of Mary Auditorium Players’ production of ‘Anyone Can Rob a Bank’ picked up considerably from an attendance point of view on the other two nights.

A special word of praise must go to producer Maureen Kearney, who obviously has a great .influence on the group.

Maureen, of course, also appeared in the play as the dozy, forgetful wife, a part she played to perfection throughout.

Liam Leddy, as the man whose ingenious plan to “do” the local bank certainly misfired in a big way, was a confident, credible husband, while his two “partners in crime” George Hoey as “Windy” and Matt Collins as the brother.

Peter McKinney was. of course, the real culprit all the time. Peter is another man who does a lot for the group. He is P.R.O. also and he acts as well.

Ciaran Leddy is no Joe Frazier—and he will be the first to admit that he gave a very convincing performnace as the madcap boxer.

Dutch girl. Joko Spruyt (right) — here was quite a remarkable performance, for she had a difficult enough part as the brash daughter of the house. As the group’s new spiritual director. Rev. Patrick Larkln remarked after thp play that Joko did extremely well, with her English being beyond reproach and her acting flawless.

She leaves for her home in Amsterdam later this week.
