There was a wonderful attendance at the Annual Christmas Set Dance Ceili in Teach Raithneach on Sunday 10th December. The best of music was provided by the Tara Ceili Band, comprising Paddy, Oliver and Martin. As anticipated, the newest set on the block, the Termonfeckin Lancers Set was danced, and proved very popular. Despite the inclement weather conditions on the day, the dancers turned out in their droves. They arrived from Armagh, Down, Monaghan, Louth, Meath, Dublin, and Offaly. Fear an Ti, John Mc Evoy was calling at his best. Thanks to everyone for their support for what has become a staple of the set dancing year. The very best of refreshments were served at the interval, and all present went home in jubilant mood. Looking forward to next year’s Ceili already!

It is often difficult for the elderly to get out and about to get shopping at this time of year, you may be able to help out in this regard.
