Donal Victory sets up store in Dunleer

-

WITH a surname like Victory, you’d expect Donal Victory to be a winner.

He learned his trade in the Home and Colonial Stores in Drogheda and overseas.

Donal F. Victory from Donore first made a name for himself when setting up his own super-mart in the rapidly growing Ashbourne some years back. And recently he took a further significant step - taking over the considerably refurbished Dunleer based Spar Shop ‘n’ Save supermarket at Main Street.

It’s to be known as the Victory Value Supermart .

It will be working totally independent of any of the big groups and will be managed by Mr. Victory’s 20 year old son, Eamonn.

A few days after Ralph Bros had called it a day in the mid-Louth town in order to concentrate on their Dublin investments, Mr. Victory moved in, and in double quick time after that again, was open for business. That indeed is very much a measure of the man. He had already of course researched everything, and feels confident that his decision was an eminently sound one.

Occupying a central position in one of the “wee” County’s fastest growing localities, Mr. Victory and his son feel that the business offers great potential.

They’ll be keeping a very comprehensive stock of all grocery lines mostly bought from Musgraves C. & C, and featuring all the “Red Label” products as well as the full range of veg fruit, etc. And the same goes for their thinking on fresh meats, and the like.

“We pride ourselves in our competitive prices, as well as in the service we offer, and in time that should certainly mean getting an increased slice of the trade, taking in the outlying areas as well as from Dunleer itself ”, states Donal Victory.
