MACRA NA FEIRME
The first Termonfeckin Macra meeting of 2018 was on January 3rd and there are a few planned outings in the pipeline. Many members purchased the club’s first tracksuit so look out for them being worn in style. The Club’s Sport Night is on Wednesday January 17th with members preparing for the upcoming sports competitions in Volleyball and Basketball. However no experience is required and all new members are encouraged to come along and join in the fun. As we don’t take it seriously we are all about having the craic.
The Venue and time is yet to be confirmed so check out the Facebook page for updates (Macra Tearmann Feichin). On Saturday January 20th, Club members have planned dinner and a night out in Carlingford to get rid of those January blues. Any new members will be discounted on the bus so get in touch to book your place. The meeting point is Donegans at 4pm. The Club is running a Drama workshop to help members prepare for the Drama competition and also help members improve confidence and perform better in other competitions such as Public Speaking and Performing Arts.
These workshop will take place on four Wednesday’s in Sandpit Hall at 9pm. The dates are January 24th and 31st and February 21st and 28th. If your are interested in these workshops, please get in contact to reserve your place. The next Club meeting is on February 14th in Keogh’s Pub at 9pm. There are many competitions coming up which include the county round of Volleyball and Basketball on January 18th. We are looking for new members to be part of our teams.
The interviews for the County Finals of Mr Personality, Queen of the Land, Miss Macra and the Blue Jeans Country Queen take place on February 17th in Cluskey’s of Little Ash along with Fanebridge’s Macra’s “Mr & Mrs” event.
This event was a huge success last year so is back by popular demand. If you want to try something different this year, are new to the area and want to meet new people, then why not try Macra as there are a range of activities to go to and to take part in or if it’s the friendly company, you can come along and just enjoy the fun.
