WORTH THEIR WEIGHT IN GOLD

There are many people living in our midst that without them the world would be a much poorer place.

One of these is Gerard fay who lives in Mornington.

Gerard is a great supporter of people who suffer from cystic fibrosis. Over the years he has taken part in more than two hundred and fifty marathons across the world and has raised thousands of euro for this very worthy cause, apart from the funds raised he has also highlighted this condition and has it pushed up the order of merit, as it were. Well done Gerard.

Another local heroine is Jacintha Walsh from Drogheda who has done so much for parents with autistic children and also for children as well.

Jacintha is the mother of Sam who has autism. She did not go into a corner and feel sorry for herself. She met this problem head on and after a momentous struggle she has softened the lives of so many families who are in a better place due to Jacinta’s herculean work.
