LEO in Louth and Meath have teamed up to offer a new and exciting training programme for the food sector in the Boyne Valley.

Applications are now open to food and interested food tourism entrepreneurs to undertake the Certificate in Applied Business Development for Food Tourism being delivered by Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT).

The new course will start on Tuesday, February 6th.

This Level 7 Certificate is the first of its kind in the region and is an opportunity for you to engage in a practical certified programme that will build your skill set and knowledge to run a successful Food Tourism business in the Boyne Valley.

For full details and what it involves, have a look at the programme description on DkIT website. Starting on February 6th, the course is delivered over two semesters, February to May and September to December.

Each semester is 12 weeks in duration, two evenings per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and four Saturday mornings per semester.

The majority of the programme will be delivered on campus at DkIT with the exception of Saturday classes which will be delivered in Navan Education Centre.

This programme has been developed by DkIT in collaboration with Louth and Meath Local Enterprise Offices (LEO’s) who have heavily subsidised the programme fees to encourage engagement from producers and food tourism providers across both counties.

The cost per participant is €350.
