DULEEK NS COMEDY NIGHT

The Parents Council of Duleek Boys & Girls NS are hosting a Comedy Night in the Glenside Hotel Drogheda on Friday 9th February 2018 featuring Joe Rooney and Patrick McDonnell from the iconic TV series Fr. Ted. Tickets are €15 and are available from Elaine 086-8875158 and Geraldine 086- 8521971 and all members of the Parents council. Show starts at 8pm with Audience competitio­ns, Raffle and DJ Mike spinning the tunes till late. All are welcome and a great laugh is guaranteed.

DULEEK WOMENS FORUM

Last Tuesday we had a very enjoyable morning in Duleek Library. Robin Stewart from Ashbourne Library introduced a film on the life of the composer Johann Sebastian Bach, after a short break we were shown a short film of an interview with Doloras O’Riordan R.I.P. and the Cranberrie­s. Thanks to Robin and Dave the Librarian who organised the morning. The next workshop in the Library will be on Tuesday 20th February at 10.30am and the topic will be “Staying Young as we Age”. All are welcome.

DULEEK CREDIT UNION AGM

Duleek Credit Union will hold their AGM on Wednesday 31st of January at 8pm in the credit union which is located on the main street in Duleek. All members are welcome to attend. for 2019*** Our AGM will be held on Wed 28th February at 10am in our offices. All members are welcome to attend.

Duleek/Bellewstow­n LGFA are sending out an SOS. We need girls born the year 2004/2005 to come join our team. We have Jerseys/coaches we even have trophys from last year but we need a few more girls. ROYAL MEATH ACCORDION ORCHESTRA

This year’s annual fundraiser will be held in The Barbican Theatre in Drogheda on February 3rd at 8pm sharp. Some of the very talented artists joining our Senior and Intermedia­te Orchestras on the night will be Duleek GNS Senior Choir and their music ensemble, Xtreme Style Academy, Susan McDonagh, The Maguires, piper Darragh O’Heiligh and St Peters Male Voice Choir. LOCAL STUDENTS GOING FOR GOLD IN SCHOOL STARS

THE very best of luck to all those from the area who have made it to the next stage of the 2018 School Stars series, taking place in the TLT in Drogheda.

Competing in the second heat on Wednesday February 7 are Harry Cummins and Ellie Maxwell from Duleek schools.
