Cars take to the fields to get home

ONE of the badly hit areas was on the Ballymakenny Road which was impassable on Friday morning with heavy drifts blocking the road at McCloskeys bakery.

Indeed, some motorists figured out the best route - diverting into a nearby field, thus avoiding the obstacle.

Later, local farmers moved onto the road and cleared large stretches.

Cars were using a field to get around the blocked Ballymakenny Road.
