Attempted murder trial date set for man

A date has been set for the trial of a Louth man charged with the attempted murder of a man in Co Meath.

Paul Crosby (22) of Rathmullen Park in Drogheda is charged with attempting to murder Gerard Boyle (22) at Knockcommo­n, Beauparc, Slane in Co Meath on November 10, 2016.

He is also charged with falsely imprisonin­g Mr Boyle and causing him serious harm on the same occasion.

At the Central Criminal Court last week, Mr Justice Patrick McCarthy set a trial date for February 11, 2019.
