Women’s Day at the Droichead

Internatio­nal Women’s Day on March 8th will be recognised at the Droichead Arts Centre with an evening with some of the creative and talented women on our doorstep, who will speak about the key female influences on their work practice and life.

Building on the sucess of last year’s event, inspiratio­nal women from arts, culture, heritage, politics and the media talk about the women who have inspired them.

The presentati­on style is PechaKucha 20x20 format. a Japanese Presentati­on style where there are 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide. So come along and hear great stories, some personal, some funny, but all different.

Featuring Vivienne Byrne ( Visual Artist), Pauline Ashwood (Curator/Drogheda Classical Music), Sinead Brassil (Producer/Broadcaste­r LMFM), Nicola Cassidy (Author/Blogger/ Laura Gramzow ( Visual Artist) and more to be announced.

Actress/Writer Grainne Rafferty, reads an excerpt from her new play, currently a work in progress.

iT’S at 8pm and is free, but booking is needed.
