Women’s Day at the Droichead

International Women’s Day on March 8th will be recognised at the Droichead Arts Centre with an evening with some of the creative and talented women on our doorstep, who will speak about the key female influences on their work practice and life.

Building on the sucess of last year’s event, inspirational women from arts, culture, heritage, politics and the media talk about the women who have inspired them.

The presentation style is PechaKucha 20x20 format. a Japanese Presentation style where there are 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide. So come along and hear great stories, some personal, some funny, but all different.

Featuring Vivienne Byrne ( Visual Artist), Pauline Ashwood (Curator/Drogheda Classical Music), Sinead Brassil (Producer/Broadcaster LMFM), Nicola Cassidy (Author/Blogger/ Laura Gramzow ( Visual Artist) and more to be announced.

Actress/Writer Grainne Rafferty, reads an excerpt from her new play, currently a work in progress.
