Please keep off the yellow lines at side of church

AN excellent point raised by the Augustinian community recently and one that makes real sense.

Each Sunday it can be a nightmare to get down Shop Street or across Bachelor’s Lane due to parking on the double yellow lines.

The main issue is in Bachelor’s Lane and at times the parking prevents those with a disability or in a wheelchair from accessing the area.

The car park nearby is open on Sundays so that’s a solution if one is needed.

The addition of the wonderful garden at the rear of the church is going to add to the numbers of people around the area at times like Sunday, so it would be good to keep the yellow lines clear. They are there for a reason.

Bachelor’s Lane, which is a nightmare for parking on Sundays and should be like this every day.
