Glen Emmets have linked up with AMS to offer cardiac screening sessions for players, members and all in the wider community. We would encourage as many as possible to attend.

The cost of this screening is €65 per person, which is fully or partially redeemable, depending on your health insurance provider. There is no financial benefit to the club - we are facilitati­ng the venue for the screening.

THE seniors play Oliver Plunketts at 3pm on Sunday, 11th March. OUR U14 boys and girls teams will participat­e in Féile Peile Na nÓg competitio­n on June 29th, 30th and July 1st. Host families are still needed to provide accommodat­ion for teams travelling to the competitio­n, you do not need to have a child involved in the Féile to provide accommodat­ion, if you can help out in any way please contact Anne-Marie Martin.

Bingo takes place every Friday night in the Ardee Parish Centre from 8pm. There are some great cash prizes to be won on the night including the winner takes all flyer. This week’s jackpot is €4,700

Juvenile registrati­on was held in our clubrooms recently and it was brilliant to see such a great turnout. We provide football for all ages from our nursery programme U7, U8, U9, U10 upwards so make contact and join our team!

Our Juveniles enjoyed a very successful and fun year in 2017 putting in a fantastic effort at training and blitzes. Training will be starting again in a couple of weeks and new and existing members are very welcome! Make new friends or bring a friend. THERE will be a Code of Ethics course held in the clubrooms next Monday 12th March at 7pm. This is now essential under GAA policy for anyone who is involved in helping out at training, coaching, mentoring or hoping to coach at Louth GAA Cúl Camps. KNOCKBRIDG­E

INDOOR training continues this coming Friday in the DkIT indoor centre from 6 to 7 p.m. for our U6 up to U12 hurlers.

Our U8 boys were in action in the latest Blitz in the DkIT where they played teams from Armagh, Down and from Monaghan. A very enjoyable two hours was had by all the players.

Our U17s hosted Clonduff from Co. Down who played us before heading to the Dublin Galway game in the National League. On the day we were the better team winning on a 4-11 to 1-5 scoreline. Neil Thornton top scored with 1-5 closely followed by Ben Goss-Kieran with 1-3 and Aidan O’Brien with 1-1. Dara Toner grabbed a goal while Adam Plunkett completed the scoring with two long range points.

MILLMOUNTH­ANDBALL

DUE to the severe adverse weather conditions the club had to unfortunat­ely cancel our juvenile handball coaching at Coke hall last Friday. With the thaw now taking hold all handball training will resume next Tuesday evening at Gormanston Sports Complex at 6.30pm, transport as usual departs the Pheasant car park at 6pm.

We have some fundraisin­g events coming up starting with the resumption of our fundraisin­g clothing appeal if you have any unwanted clothes, handbags, shoes, belts etc would you please bring them along to Coke hall reception or you can contact Maria on 0879821594 to arrange for collection thank you.

Our club registrati­on with GAA Handball Croke Park was completed last week and we would like to thank all players, parents and volunteers for their valuable input and co-operation.

We still have some date, venue and player availabili­ty to finalise for our eagerly awaited upcoming promotiona­l handball demonstrat­ion day. More informatio­n on this fabulous event will be posted shortly at the club and also on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
