Wolfe Tones GFC selected to run Gaelic 4 Girls project

-

WOLFE Tones GFC have been selected to run a new national programme called ‘Gaelic 4 Girls’.

The Club is one of only ten in Leinster selected to run the programme and the Wolfe Tones are delighted to have been chosen.

The project, which will run for 12 weeks will see a ‘ try it and see programme’ run for girls aged between 8-12 beginning in April.

The programme incorporates coaching sessions with fun non-competitive blitz’s aimed at increasing participation in ladies Gaelic Football.

This will be a great opportunity for girls to give Gaelic a go in their local club and included in the programme is a free MASITA t-shirt to celebrate ten years of the Gaelic 4 Girls programme.

Following the completion of the programme all girls will receive an official LGFA certificate and be eligible to play in a Leinster Blitz on June 16th.

The official launch for the Wolfe Tones involvement in the programme will take place in Scotch Hall in the coming weeks with the new Gaelic 4 Girls tshirts on display along with registration forms.

The launch was previously postponed due to the snow and inclement weather caused by Storm Emma.
