Council officials invited to attend public meeting
COUNCIL officials have been invited to attend an emergency meeting of the ‘Let’s Talk Drogheda’ series in the Barbican Centre on Thursday, March 15th at 8pm.
‘It will be a perfect chance for the council to attend and explain what has happened and tell the people about what the process will now involve.
‘ The people have a right to answers about this and I hope the council attend,’ Cllr Frank Godfrey (right) stated.
It was at a past meeting in January that details of the bye-law issue were revealed and later reported in the Drogheda Independent.

unable to park outside their own homes - so please come along and explain that,’ Frank stated.
‘ This is going to go on for a number of months and there will be issues, so it’s amatter of encouraging people to park responsibly and don’t make other people prisoners in their own homes.’
Frank says he’s like the business community to turn out and air their views.
‘It will be more than a week since the parking charges were suspended, so has there been more shoppers in town or less. Are people happy with the situation - what can be done now to make things easier for them if not.
‘ This whole incident is one of the biggest things to hit Drogheda in many years. Have your say on it on Thursday.’
