5,000 blood donations are needed

-

Residents in Drogheda are being urged to give blood at the clinic in St Mary’s Parish Primary School in Drogheda this week as it was revealed that there is a serious shortage at present and 5,000 blood donations are needed by St Patrick’s Day. One of those urging people to donate is Lyndsey Turner, Mum to Alice Turner (5). Lyndsey revealed that Alice, who is now three years free from Cancer, had received a huge amount of blood and platelet transfusions during treatment and she has now made it her mission to give it all back and then some, donating blood every three months. The clinic will take place from Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5.30pm to 8pm.
