DUNDALK GAELS NH FIONNBARRA 2-17 1-6

DUNDALK Gaels made it two wins from two outings in Group C of the Paddy Sheelan Cup when they defeated Nh Fionnbarra on Friday night.

The game at DkIT saw the Dundalk side rarely troubled as the cruised to a win over a Nh Fionnbarra side who have now lost both of their opening games of the season.

Most of the damage was done in the first half as goals from Niall Hearty and Chris Sweeney helped the Gaels to a commanding 2-11 to 1-1 lead, with Nicholas Butterly claiming the Finbarrs goal.

The Ballygassan side were unable to pose any serious questions for their opponents but they did enjoy one positive moment when they found the net before the break.

As a result the second half provided little in the way of entertainment as the Gaels added a further six points to their tally to run out winners by 15.
