More success for Dunleer ladies

IT’S been a great few days once again for Dunleer AC’s ladies - fittingly so on Mother’s Day weekend - with successes both at Masters and Juvenile level.

First up on Saturday at the Leinster Masters Cross-Country Championships the club enjoyed a one-two finish in the Over-40 section as Karen Costello (10:31.2) led home her colleague Nicola Welsh by 0.7 of a second.

Then on Sunday it was the turn of Erinn Leavy to take gold as she captured the Leinster Indoor Girls Under-13 600m title, clocking a time of 1min 41sec.

•The Dunleer AC agm takes place next Tuesday (20th) at 8.30pm in the clubrooms.
