66 homes plan for Roadstone plant
PERMISSION for 66 new homes on the former Roadstone batching plant, adjacent to the Watery Hill steps on the Donore Road, has been sought from Louth County Council.
Maybeck Ltd are seeking to demolish all existing structures on the site and develop three buildings, part four storey and part five storey and they will contain 66 residential units and associated communal spaces.
PERMISSION for 66 new homes on the former Roadstone batching plant, adjacent to the Watery Hill steps on the Donore Road, has been sought from Louth County Council.
Maybeck Ltd are seeking to demolish all existing structures on the site, including the batching silos, aggregate bins, offices, single storey building, diesel tank, existing entrance gates as well as the part demolition/adjustments to the existing stone boundary wall at the Donore Road and Watery steps.
They will also seek to remove a number of existing trees along the Donore Road and Watery Steps borders.
The development will feature three buildings, part four storey and part five storey and they will contain 66 residential units and associated communal spaces.
A semi-basement will include 54 car parking spaces.
The residential element consists of 30 sheltered housing units and 36 general needs housing units with a split of 4 no. 1 bedroom apartments, 54 no. 2
bedroom apartments and 8 no. 3 bedroom apartments.
There will be a relocation of the existing vehicular site access off the Donore Road and the introduction of two new pedestrian site access points; one at the foot of the
Watery steps with a proposed ESB substation, and a second access point off Donore Road. A decision is expected on the application by May 2, 2018.
