Brewhousewin ‘BestBeerin Ireland’ title
THERE was amazing success for Drogheda’s Boyne Brewhouse at the Alltech Craft Beer Awards as the craft brewery scooped eight awards including the title of ‘Best Beer in Ireland’.
Boyne Brewhouse craft beers are brewed in the heart of the Boyne Valley at Drogheda’s Boyne Brewhouse and Boann Distillery.
Boyne Brewhouse scooped eight awards at the sixth annual Dublin Alltech, Craft Beer and Cider Cup 2018 at an event in the Convention Centre in Dublin.
Boyne Brewhouse ‘Imperial Stout’ was crowned the ‘Best Beer in Ireland’ while the Boyne Brewhouse Saison, also received top honours on the night.
In total, the Boyne Brewhouse picked up an incredible EIGHT awards for their craft beers, which are brewed in the heart of the Boyne Valley at Drogheda’s Boyne Brewhouse and Boann Distillery.
The awards haul included two Gold Medals for its Saison and Imperial Stout.
The Alltech Craft Brews and Food Fair are hosting craft breweries, cideries and distilleries from Ireland and around the world this weekend at Dublins Convention Centre.
Over 320 craft beers battled it out over 8 categories for recognition as the best Craft Beer in Ireland. The beers are rated, tested and analysed by an expert international panel of judges and critiqued based on appearance, aroma, flavour, body, style and quality.
Boyne Brewhouse led the way with ‘Best Beer in Ireland’ and their barrel aged Imperial Stout was just pipped at the post by M63 Bulldog from Futohaz Sorfozde brewery in Hungary as overall winner of the Dublin Craft Beer Cup.
