ST. FECHINS LOTTO.

The numbers drawn were 5, 8, 22 and 24. There was no jackpot winner. The €100 winner was Ambrose Mc Ginnity. Winners of €20 were Donal Brady, Eimear Marron, Bronwyn Kirwan, Brian Devlin and Neil and Tracy Martin. The jackpot is worth €2,100 and is sponsored by Madden’s Centra, Termonfeck­in.

FIRST PENANCE.

This week, children in Second Class in both Parish Schools will receive the Sacrament of First Penance. This Tuesday March 20th, the children from Scoil Naomh Feichin will receive the Sacrament in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. On Wednesday March 21st, it is the turn of the children in Scoil Mhuire gan Smal in the Church of the Assumtion. Let us keep these children in our prayers as they continue on their spiritual journey.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS

During Lent, Stations of the Cross are being held in the Church of the Assumption, Sandpit on Friday evenings at 7.30pm, up to Friday March 23rd. The Stations of the Cross are being led by the Parish Pastoral Council.

NICOLA HERLIHY R.I.P.

We offer our deepest sympathy to the family, relations and friends of Nicola Herlihy nee Walsh, Belview Road, Cartown who died recently. Requiem Mass was offered in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Termonfeck­in and the Funeral in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Drogheda. May she rest in peace.

WEEKLY SET DANCING.

Set Dancing is on Thursday nights in Sandpit Hall at 8.30pm. All are welcome.

SEAPOINT PITCH & PUTT.

The two Captain’s for 2018, Joanne and Paul Cooney, held their pitch-in recently, with the help of their daughter Sarah. It was a very successful day and we would like to thank everyone for attending. The presentati­on of prizes for the Winter League which was generously sponsored by Briscoe Expert Electrical also took place on the day.

The results of the 18 Nett Competitio­n held that weekend are as follows. Senior-1st: Fechin Rath 41, 2nd: Gerry Breen Jnr. 42. Inter-1st: Anto Mullen 40, 2nd: Paul Cooney 41 (ob9 19). Junior-1st: Ray McEvoy 43 (ob9 20½), 2nd: Paddy Davis 43. Ladies-1st: Mary Coyle 41, 2nd: Marlo Everitt 42. CSS: 46. Last weekend the competitio­n was an 18 Gross and a Fourball Vpar was held on Bank Holiday Monday March 19th at 2.00pm. Seapoint Pitch and Putt Club are proud to be hosts of the Internatio­nal Irish Open Championsh­ip, which is scheduled to be held on August 25th and 26th. SEAPOINT GOLF CLUB.

The Captains Drive In (reschedule­d) will now take place on Sunday March 25th with a reception at 12.30pm. The incoming Captains are: Lady Captain Mary Upton, Men’s Captain Bernard Seery. Open Singles continue each Tuesday. Some up and coming events, Easter Monday: Open 2 Person Team Event ( contact 041-9881066 for details), April 16th: Senior Ladies Golf Society, Sunday 29th April: Chairmans Prize. Ladies beginner lessons will take place in May - more details in April.

ADORATION.

Eucharisti­c Adoration takes place on Monday evenings from 7-8pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Why not come and spend some quiet time in the presence of the Lord.
