It’s starting to hot up for the arrival of Vantastival 2018

-

WITH just two months to go till one of the first festivals of the summer, more acts have been added to the Vantastival line up, in association with Firestone Live. Third Smoke, Slow Place Like Home, Wolff and Maija Sofia are among the latest acts announced for the Firestone Stage at Vantastival.

Vantastival is a key event within Firestone Live, an original programme of music festivals sponsored by the tyre giant across Europe in Spain, Germany, France, Poland, Italy, Denmark, Ireland and the UK.

A total of 25 unsigned acts will perform over the June bank holiday weekend in the Firestone Music Station, a unique structure with the aesthetic of a 1930s Route 66 gas station, which will be decked out with quirky custom-made tyre furniture. Also added to the stage’s line up today are Brain Donation, Kid Coy, Video Blue, Waking Android, Dr. Mindflip, FXY and local Drogheda acts The Skins and Fuzz Gigolo.

Le Galaxie and The Stunning will headline this year’s Vantastival and the full line up can be found at www.vantastival.com/ line-up-2018. The festival takes place from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd June at Beaulieu House and Gardens, Drogheda. 3-day, 2-day and single day tickets are on sale now from www.vantastival.com/tickets and Eventbrite.

Meanwhile, the Firestone Battle of the Bands competition involving 12 other Firestone acts is open to online voting until midnight on 8 April 2018. The competition represents an extension of the brand’s authentic association with music, as part of a long-term effort to reach a vibrant, youthful audience and showcase emerging ‘grass roots’ talent.

One of those hoping to win the battle of the bands are Modern Love. The four piece of 19-year-olds have been playing together for 4 years, and are influenced by the 80’s and love The 1975. Ones to watch for the future.
