O RAGHALLAIGHS ST JOSEPHS 4-10 0-14

BEN Rogan bagged a personal tally of 4-3 as O Raghallaighs made it three wins from three and remain top of the Division 2 table with victory over St Josephs.

After a close first half, Rogan proved the difference between the teams in the second period as he grabbed three goals to complete an eight-point win.

It was Ruairi Moore who opened the scoring only for the Joes to take charge with points from Alan Lynch, Jack Mulligan and Craig Doherty.

The initiative then swung back in favour of the visitors when Rogan slotted home his first goal of the game from the penalty spot. He added a point soon after before Barry Flanagan increased the gap to 1-3 to 0-3.

The Joes responded through Alan McKenna, Alan Lynch and Killian Staunton, but it was Moore landed the final point of the half to send his team in with a 1-4 to 0-6 advantage.

The Drogheda men made a bright start to the second half and Rogan’s second goal helped them move six points clear.

Craig Doherty led the Joes revival as they cut the gap back down to three but Rogan put the game beyond them with his third goal five minutes from time, before he put the icing on the cake with a late fourth.
