LANNLEIRE SEAN MCDERMOTTS 1-10 1-6

LANNLEIRE maintained their winning run in Division 3 with a home victory over Sean McDermotts.

The hosts were the dominant team in the first half and led by 1-7 to 0-3 at the break with Paul Callan netting the goal.

Seans kicked a number of first half wides and only got on the scoreboard in the 27th minute.

Lannleire still held a comfortable lead, 1-10 to 0-4, entering the final ten minutes of the game.

However, the villagers were nearly made to regret some wayward second half shooting when Tony Kelly followed up a couple of late Sean McDermotts points with a goal on 58 minutes to leave the Seans just four points in arrears. They were unable to add any further scores though and Lannleire were happy to hear the final whistle.
