Parnells power on
STABANNON PARNELLS CUCHULAINN GAELS 2-13 2-4
A strong first half display helped Stabannon Parnells defeat Cuchulainn Gaels at home on Sunday afternoon.
In a game where most of the scoring was done in the first half, the Parnells had built up a healthy lead thanks to goals from Colm Giggins and David Cluskey.
The visitors gave a good account of themselves throughout and replied with a Cian McDonald goal to cut the gap to 2-10 to 1-3 at the break.
In a rather low-scoring second half Aonghus Giggins kicked two frees to bring his tally to nine points while Cluskey added another. The Omeath side never looked capable of mounting a comeback although they did grab a consolation goal through Eoghan McDonald.
